Spinneys, one of the UAE’s leading premium food retailers, is hiring a Product Development Specialist for its New Product Development (NPD) team in Dubai. This role is a good opportunity for an experienced chef or food professional who enjoys creating new recipes, testing food products and following the latest culinary trends.
The selected candidate will work on developing and improving food products for Spinneys retail ranges, fresh counters and Spinneys Kitchen Café.

What Will You Do?
The Product Development Specialist will be involved in the complete product development process, from the initial idea to the final launch.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, test and improve recipes for retail products, fresh counters and café items.
- Create new food concepts based on customer preferences and category requirements.
- Conduct food trials, tastings and recipe refinements.
- Make sure recipes can be produced on a larger scale without affecting quality or consistency.
- Research food trends, ingredients and changing customer lifestyles.
- Compare Spinneys products with competitor products and industry standards.
- Work with Category Managers and Commercial teams on product strategies and ranges.
- Coordinate with production teams, suppliers and factories during product development.
- Help train teams on preparation methods, recipes and required standards.
- Follow UAE food safety and quality requirements.
- Maintain accurate recipes, product specifications and development records.
- Check products for quality, consistency and commercial potential before launch.
Requirements

- A Diploma or Degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in product development, retail, food manufacturing or hospitality.
- Experience creating recipes suitable for retail or large-scale production.

- Awareness of current food and culinary trends.
- Ability to turn creative food ideas into commercially successful products.
